Proposed Law

April 25, 2013:  Currently the President and the Congress are debating new immigration legislation for the US.   A proposed bill is currently with the Senate but has not yet been voted on.  Before this or any other bill can become law the Senate and the House of Representatives must come to some agreement and pass the measure before it is sent to the President for his final approval.  It is expected this discussion in Washington will take months and there will be many changes to the current proposal before a vote is taken.

The current Senate bill can be found at these links.
